Temptation

My lover's leaving town tonight
She keeps on saying things will be alright
I hope that she misses that flight

Now girl you're actin' funny
The reason you just can't hide
You say you think that I am tricking you
When you're gone I'll be makin' time

But Temptation aint as strong as you baby
I'm your man.  You're, you're my lady
Temptation aint as strong as this feeling
Deep down inside me.

Liner notes
This  song was written by Kevin Stewart's friend Rick Williamson.  Stewart's early music career began with Williamson with whom he performed in groups such as Dunroven, Stewart & Ways and Tab A'.  This track was recorded live at Applejacks in Jacksonville, Florida in October of 1988.  Performing on the track are Gary Tussing on Cello, Spencer Mallinson is playing the bass and Kevin Stewart programmed the drums and is on the acoustic guitar and vocals.

This gig was billed as "Kevin Stewart & Company".  Gary Tussing was joining Stewart and Mallinson as a one-time, sort of Stewart Tussing reunion gig.  Stewart Tussing had officially disbanded in 1985.  Other tracks on this site from this live recording are "Blue Suit Blues" and "To Reach There"

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.  There's also a negative side."                        --Hunter S. Thompson
